Parking Reminder (from Nan)

Parking Reminder! If you or a guest are planning to visit or stay at Cranberry Isles this summer, PLEASE keep in mind that ALL off-island parking in the Joy Street Lot, the Northeast Harbor Reserve Lot, and the Cranberry Manset Lot are by permit only. If a vehicle parks in a reserved space, that vehicle must display a numbered parking sticker that corresponds with the parking spot number. If no sticker is displayed, ticketing and/or towing and fees, without notice, may take place. There are no spaces that allow day use parking in any of the lots. If you need an extra reserve sticker for your space, please contact the town office at 244-4475, as four stickers are ordered for each reserved space. The Joy Street Lot is a first come, first serve parking lot, and a Joy sticker must be displayed on the vehicle. Joy Lot stickers can be obtained from the town office for $10.00. For overnight guest parking in the Cranberry Lot at Manset, please contact the town office PRIOR to parking to obtain a written guest vehicle permit at a rate of $10.00 per night. Six guest spaces are available at Manset on a first come, first serve basis. For overnight guest parking in the Northeast Harbor Lot, permits can be obtained from the Mount Desert Police Station for $10.00 per night, (276-5111). If you forget to place your stickers on the vehicle, please be advised that the Mount Desert Police does not issue parking stickers for reserved spaces. If no sticker is displayed, you are running the very real risk of being ticketed and/or towed without notice. Thanks very much; have a great summer!
